Michele Ann Gibson, 67, of Fenton, IL, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, at her residence.
A private family service will be held at this time. Public visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Friday, January 8, 2021 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. The service will be livestreamed and can be found on Michele’s obituary at esterdahl.com on Saturday at 10 am. In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing. We will allow people in as others leave, to keep social distance.
Michele was born on March 9, 1953, in Silvis, the daughter of Joseph and Sally (Owens) Krol. She married Gil Gibson on October 13, 1979, in Silvis. Michele graduated from United Township High School in 1970. She met Gil while working at International Harvester in 1975. Later she worked for APAC in Davenport, where she made lots of friends and had a big impact on many people’s lives. Michele was known for her love of the Lord; she was sure to share Jesus with everyone she met. Her joys in life were spending time with her family, celebrating with all her friends, and loved ones, as well as teaching Sunday School. She especially enjoyed quality time with her grandchildren. Michele’s hobbies included canning, gardening, and baking using her homegrown produce.
Survivors include her husband, Gil Gibson; children, Sarah (David) Fritch, Joshua Gibson; grandchildren, Jack, James, & Jonathan; siblings, Jolene (Dan) Kannenberg, Kevin (Angie) Krol; many nieces & nephews, as well as a host of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
