Patricia A Schwabe

Patricia A. Schwabe, 83, of Moline, passed away, Friday, April 30, 2021, at Overlook Village Senior Living, Moline.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 7, 2021, at River City Church, 2305 7th Avenue Moline, IL 61265. Visitation will be 2-hrs prior at the church.  Burial at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Memorials may be to Samaritan’s Purse.

Pat was born on October 3, 1937, in Rock Island, the daughter of Frank and Velma (Stambaugh) Hulett.  She graduated Rock Island High School in June 1955.  She married Gordon Schwabe on September 14, 1956.  She received Christ as her savior at the age of 5 at Moline Gospel Temple under Minister A.W. Kortcamp.  She loved Jesus all her life.  For 30 years she had the joy of teaching Sunday School to the high schoolers and serving as a Deaconess. Pat worked for Iowa Illinois Gas & Electric Company until two precious little girls were born Juli and Lyni.  One of her greatest pleasures was participating in the Moline Christian Women’s Club where women came to know Jesus.  She attended Calvary of the Quad Cities the past 20 years where she loved to go visit the sick and elderly.  Her hobbies include bicycling with Gordon all over the country, camping, picnicking, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Thanks to Bill Bealer, Dr. Porubcin and nursing staff, Compassus Hospice, Overlook Village and their amazing, caring, staff and the many family & friends who have loved and supported them over the years.

Survivors include her husband, children, Lynette (Don) Wilson, Juliana (Gail) Palmer; grandchildren, Matt (Emma) Palmer, Ryan (Helane) Palmer, Shelby (Christopher) Steffe, Rachael Wilson; 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Frank Hulett, Barbara Forsberg, Wilbert Hulett; & grandson, Shae Wilson.
