He was born in Neillsville, Wisconsin on September 13, 1933 to Mr. & Mrs. Paul J Bladl, Sr.  He grew up on a farm outside of Owen, Wisconsin and his favorite stories of his early years were of his sheep, Mary, who lambed 3 sets of triplets under his care, and deer hunting with his Dad and neighbors.  He never lost his love of hunting and looked forward to hunting each year with his nephews.  He attended Owen High School where he was in the band, was a member of the football team, and was senior class president.  He graduated in 1951 and attended the University of Wisconsin in River Falls.  In 1954 he enlisted in the United States Army and spent a tour in Germany.

In 1956 he began his 38-year career working for John Deere Company as an area sales manager, first in Newton, then in Moline, Illinois and later transferring to the Dallas branch.   After he retired, he taught Ag-Tech school at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas for several years.  In 2006 he worked from home doing warranty claims for John Deere until 2010.

Paul met and married Nancy Greenway in 1960 and together they adopted 4 children: Pamela Marie, Susan Louise, Micheal Anthony and an infant son, Paul James (Jamie) who lived only 11 short months.

Paul was a long-time member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Coppell, Texas, and an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

The love of his life, Nancy, passed away in November 2005.  He later met and married Bernadette Baley in 2008.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents, his sister, and his infant son, Jamie.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Bernadette, daughters Pamela (Greg) and Susan (Robert) and son Micheal (Cynthia), step-daughter Becky (John), grandchildren Paul, Ashley, Carson and Perry and 4 great grandchildren, Conner, Kaleb, Beau, and Zoey  in addition to a myriad of friends and brother Knights of Columbus.
