Rosie was born on January 7, 1928, in Cambridge, Illinois, the daughter of Marshall and Elsa (Bohman) Wexell.  She married J. Wallace “Wallie” Erickson on April 28, 1957, at Cambridge Lutheran Church.  Rosie lived a long, faithful and meaningful life shared with family and friends.  Always ready to lend a hand, bake a dessert or send a card for just the right occasion.  She was a very active member of First Lutheran Church, Moline, participating in various church committees throughout her life.  She and Wallie enjoyed the camaraderie of their church inspired “supper club group”, which met monthly for over 40 years.  Rosie graduated from Galva High School in 1946 and the American Institute of Commerce, shortly thereafter.  The friendships she developed with her classmates at each institution transpired into life-long friendships, meeting monthly for luncheons or afternoon get togethers.  She was a member of Polka Club of Iowa Eastern Chapter, Q.C. Chapter of American Liver Foundation, an Auxiliary member of the Bethesda King’s Daughters and Christian Friendliness.  When her children were younger, she was active in the PTA.  Above all, Rosie was an avid supporter of her family, grandchildren, neighbors and friends, all of whom she adored.

Survivors include her children, Karen (Terry) Thomasson, Bettendorf, IA, Joel (Mary) Erickson, Durand, IL, and Kris (Brian) Keller, Geneva, IL; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Carl Wexell, Geneseo.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Memories may be shared on the tribute wall.
