Violet Schaffer, 92 of Geneseo passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Hillcrest Home in Geneseo.
A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will be at the Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion.
Violet was born on February 24, 1931, in Osco, Illinois the daughter of Lars and Mae Christanson Sundvall. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion.
She is survived by her sons; Donald (Barbara) Schaffer of Ava Maria, FL and James (Kathy) Schaffer of Oswego; 7 grandchildren; Kristin, Brian, Mark, Michael, Robert, Emily and Briana; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Margaret & Evelyn.
